Biography
Dundee Carter is an experienced attorney at Ouverson, Guest & Carter, PA in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She focuses her law practice in the areas of estate planning, trusts, powers of attorney, probate administration, guardianships, conservatorships, elder law, and real estate law.
Ms. Carter received her Bachelors degree from the College of Charleston, and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Michigan State University – Detroit College of Law. Following her graduation from the College of Charleston, and prior to attending Michigan State University, Dundee was employed as a flight attendant with Midway Airlines in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Dundee was admitted to practice law in the State of South Carolina in the fall of 1999. In the spring of 2000, she began pursuing her LL.M. in Taxation at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. While attending Georgetown University Law Center, she was employed by Pinnacle Realty and served as in-house counsel and Vice President of Pinnacle’s Asset Management and Affordable Housing Division. She graduated with her LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 2002.
In the spring of 2005, Dundee relocated to the Murrells Inlet area of Horry County, and joined another law firm as an Associate Attorney in the areas of real estate, probate administration and estate planning. In March 2007, Ms. Carter was appointed to serve as an Associate Judge with the Horry County Probate Court and served as an Associate Judge from 2007 until 2015.
In the summer of 2019, Ms. Carter joined the Ouverson, Guest & Carter, PA law firm. Dundee is a member of the South Carolina Bar, Horry County Bar Association, the South Carolina Women Lawyer’s Association, and currently serves as a Board Member for the Coastal Carolina Education Foundation Legacy Advisory Council at Coastal Carolina University.
